Summary

The Quality Manager is responsible for overall compliance of Quality Management System for the plant. This role reports to the Service Center Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control. Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
  • Manage a team of product quality engineer and quality assurance engineer
  • Develop effective plans to reduce cost of poor quality, customer escapes
  • Implement local quality priorities in line with Global, Regional and Plant quality strategy
  • Drive fast and accurate resolution of customer and internal issues, drives effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Lead RCA management, ensuring timely RCA resolutions
  • Ensure ISO re-certification & compliance
  • Lead Kaizen efforts to reduce or eliminate top defects
  • Drive problem solving to reduce repeated top concerns
  • Build Quality Culture through Stop Work, On-time concern closure, quality improvement projects
  • Responsible for Management of Change process and Change Control Board implementation
  • Overall responsibility for Internal Audit execution, for conformance to quality plans, systems, and requirements as per the Internal Audit Plan
  • Collaborate with global team to share and implement best-practices
  • Lead , develop, coach operation team on quality methods and key competencies related to critical processes
  • Ensure adequate training/skills for product quality engineers, internal auditors, quality control inspectors
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or suitable practical experience
  • A minimum of 8 - 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in quality, operation or equivalent management role

  • Knowledge in NDT, EMT, Borescope, QC inspection work would be desired
  • Experience in preventive Q tools (FMEA, MSA,\xe2\x80\xa6) would be desired
  • Proven expertise in RCA and CAPA tools such as 8D would be desired
  • Lean Practitioner or Six Sigma Black Belt would have advantage
  • Knowledge of heavy duty gas turbine buckets and rotor repair methods and processes would have advantage
  • Technical experience in Gas Turbine / Steam Turbine / Generator Services would have advantage
