Responsible for developing and driving the quality metrics. Manages the design and installation of quality control processes, procedures and statistical techniques. This includes validation, investigations activities.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify causes, track progress and drive resolutions of quality issues
Provide leadership and direction in quality, food safety and compliance to Abbott Nutrition Policies and Procedures
Drive and implement continuous improvements to enhance quality and food safety in our products in a cost effective manner
Manages the hiring, staffing and maintenance of a diverse and effective workforce. Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team Provides managerial leadership, coaching/feedback and development for direct reports and business partners.
Direct the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group.
Formulate or assists in formulating quality assurance policies and procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
Manage and provide leadership to establish an efficient process to trouble and resolve plant events.
Responsible to resolve and approval of exception reports within the plants.
Responsible for validation activities and provide guidance to ensure compliance to Abbott Nutrition Polices and Procedures.
Responsible for release all products within the agreed time scale allowed for analysis
Effectively collaborate across all operational and technical teams to assure product conformance and efficacy requirements are fulfilled
Drive continuous improvement projects to improve efficiency and cost for the plant.
Accountable for the day-to-day operations of an area managing processes, programs and/or initiatives. Anticipate operational issues and develops preventive measures.
Manages a staff of professional level team members or manages a team through lower-level supervisors.
Establishes and influences operating policies. Work is guided by general policies and management guidance.
Interprets and executes policies that directly affect work activities. May contribute to functional strategy within location.
Sets project timeframes and priorities based on project objectives and ongoing assignments.
Provides guidance and technical advice and becomes actively involved as required.
Adapts communication techniques for audiences at multiple internal/external levels.
Analyzes quantitative, qualitative and trend data.
Anticipates operational issues and develops preventative measures. Solves problems impacting the area in a systematic and clear manner that can be understood by subordinates and colleagues.
Manages area of responsible related budget.
Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
6 to 10 years of related experience and 5 years in management situation.
Good leadership and problem-solving skill.
Good communication and report writing skill.
Good practical knowledge of GMP in food/ pharmaceutical manufacturing
Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Dairy Science or related discipline.
