  • Test and release purchased materials for meeting the acceptance criteria by thorough examination using the material/ label/ packaging materials specifications and approved test methods and procedures.
  • Test and release semi-finished products and finished product according to approved test methods and procedures.
  • Releases material / label / packaging Materials product if all test data shows it to be suitable for using. If the material / label / product is to be rejected, initiates appropriate action through managerial channels.
  • Review of Batch History Records for verification and accountability of the lot and release if found acceptable. If any discrepancy is noted initiates appropriate action through managerial channels.
  • Assist in testing and data reporting of any stability and expiration date validation studies.
  • For any out of tolerances/ failure found during incoming, in-process, outgoing or stability/ validation studies inspection; generates Quality Nonconforming (QM) in SAP Database and/ or Out of Specification Investigation (OOS), where applicable and communicates issues to responsible Quality Engineer(s).
  • Clearly and accurately records the result of inspection on appropriate inspection forms or electronically in SAP Database.
  • Performs test of DI water system in accordance to written procedures and notifies Manufacturing Facilitator and Quality Engineer - Laboratory if any deviation.
  • Monitors and updates calibration and maintenance schedules in BM RAM/ SAP. Supports Quality Engineer - Laboratory for timely completion of calibration and maintenance monthly.
  • Ensures that only calibrated equipment/ tool is used for inspection per standard operating procedure and handles tools appropriately to prevent damage.
  • Works in a team environment, supports engineering, reporting dimensional, statistical, capability measurement system data, data collection, etc
  • Support the monitoring of adequate label / literature laboratory supplies inventory.
  • Maintain and monitor the retention samples inventory, storage conditions and the expiration date and coordinate the discard of expired samples.
  • Participates and contributes to continuous improvement activities. Keeps abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and complies with those requirements, brings regulatory compliance questions/ issues to the attention of management
  • Safety & ISO 14001 Environmental accountability: Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally-friendly workplace by observing Company\xe2\x80\x99s rules and procedures. Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement and reduction of resource materials.
  • Safety & health accountability: Safety and health are important to BD and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you. Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance to our safety guidelines and SOPs.
  • Performs other duties as requested by Facilitator.
Job Requirements
  • Nitec/Higher Nitec or Diploma in Biological Sciences (Microbiology) or Chemistry preferred.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in an industrial laboratory or QA environment (such as general laboratory experience, Calibration and Preventive Maintenances program or Non-conforming handling in medical devices, pharmaceutical or life science industry.
  • Added advantage with knowledge and experience in SAP, Microsoft Excel and/or Word.
  • Good communication skill to convey clearly to immediate supervisor, if any deviation were to be found during the testing.
