We are seeking a meticulous

Quantity Surveyor

to join a reputable

building and construction company

based in

Sembawang

. This

permanent position

offers a

5-day work week (Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 6.00pm)

with an attractive

salary of up to $5,000

AWS and performance bonuses

. This role provides an excellent opportunity to manage commercial and cost control activities across multiple construction projects.

What You'll Be Doing

Prepare essential commercial documentation, including procurement schedules, cash flow forecasts, and margin plans. Send enquiries for assigned work packages and handle technical or commercial clarifications. Review and compare tenders from subcontractors and suppliers to support selection decisions. Identify potential risks or inconsistencies in tender and contract documents. Carry out quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on drawings and specifications. Collaborate with the estimating team to align project strategies with management objectives. Support change management by measuring variations, pricing RFPs, and issuing contractual notices on time. Assist with internal and client commercial reports and track monthly cost performance. Monitor project costs and margins, recommending efficiency improvements when needed. Administer main contracts and subcontracts to ensure adherence to terms and compliance standards. Prepare interim valuations, progress claims, and maintain accurate commercial and document records. Conclude final accounts with clients and subcontractors according to contractual requirements. Support project close-out processes and manage retention release after defect rectification. Undertake other ad hoc responsibilities as assigned by management.

What We're Looking For

Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 1-3 years of relevant experience in tender preparation or project management. Strong knowledge of construction documentation, contract administration, and ISO standards. Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of handling multiple project deliverables efficiently.
