Job Description

Quantity Surveyor (Electrical Trade) Roles and Responsibilities



Key Responsibilities:



1. Cost Management: Estimating and managing electrical construction costs, including materials, labor, and subcontractor expenses.


2. Tendering: Preparing and submitting tender documents, including bills of quantities and pricing.


3. Contract Administration: Administering electrical contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.


4. Valuation and Payment: Preparing valuations for payment, variations, and claims.


5. Cost Control: Monitoring and controlling electrical construction costs, identifying potential cost overruns.


6. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks and disputes related to electrical construction.


7. Collaboration: Working with electrical engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.





Skills and Qualifications:



1. Quantity Surveying: Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.


2. Electrical Trade: Knowledge of electrical construction, including electrical systems and installations.


3. Contract Law: Understanding of contract law and regulations.


4. Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
