Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
To manage the commercial and cost management aspects for the delivery of theprogramme of investment and planned works. To provide commercial and cost management support to the procurement,operations and planning teams. To accurately measure and value the works undertaken by the operational teamsand contractors. A detailed knowledge of Standard Methods of Measurement as they relate toboth fabric works and Mechanical & Electrical installations would beexpected To work with the project management team to manage consultants, contractors,and their supply chain. To understand and respect the needs of the end user in respect of buildingimprovement and maintenance. To have a knowledge and understanding of the implications of health and safetyregulations Assist the designer in reviewing construction plans and preparing quantityrequirements Analyse costs for maintenance and additional building needs and then negotiatewith contractors and subcontractors Maintain proper documentation for all tenders * Sourcing of quotations and evaluate quotations received from suppliers and sub-contractors.
