DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF QUANTITY SURVEYOR - MRT STATION PROJECT


Monitor all financial aspects of the project to ensure the project is within the budget. Liaise, coordinate and have good rapport with the team members, consultants, client, contractors, suppliers and architects Prepare and analyze cost comparison Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors Involve in managing and reporting of project budget & cost control Responsible in Post-Contracts administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts Monitor all financial aspects of the projects to ensure projects run according to budget Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers and contractors on certification of claims for payment Be familiar with various stages of projects so as to source for the most viable yet reasonable priced materials
Job Requirements:


Degree in Building / Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering 5 years and above experience as QS in main-con companies Priority will be given to those with experience in LTA tunnel projects. Ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders Able to work independently, be meticulous, good analytical skills with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines Able to start work within a short notice period will have an added advantage
