Quantity Surveyor

Job Description
The Quantity Surveyor reports to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and manages all costs relating to the project, from initial calculations to the final figures, seeking to minimize costs of a project and enhance value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality.
A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Price the cost of different materials needed for projects
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, variation orders and other documentation
- Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projects accordingly
- Procurement of raw mterials
- Attend site meetings when required
- Co-ordinate with clients, site personnel and production floor/suppliers to achieve accurate and timely delivery.
- Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.
- Help the project\xe2\x80\x99s bottom line by rigorously monitoring and implementing cost controls.
- Establish a good relationship with Client, Consultants and subcontractors to ensure that the project is smoothly managed in terms of resources and timeline.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 year of working experience in related field
- Strong communications and interpersonal ability
- Good quantitative skills
- Knowledge of construction process
