We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Project Estimator to join our Engineering team of regional experts in Southeast Asia. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quantity surveying duties on district cooling and utility plant projects including major equipment, piping & network (aboveground/underground), cabling, valve, instrument c/w ancillaries, civil and structural work etc.
  • Prepare the cost plan and estimation during feasibility study and preliminary design/detail design stage.
  • Support and review the Capex assessment from local team with value inputs and feedback.
  • Align the scope of works and identify project risks or opportunities.
  • Conduct cost audits and value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Improve the Capex assessment tool with good practice and provide guidance to local team
  • Prepare RFP/RFQ process and liaise with supplier/contractor to support procurement functions.
  • Analyse quotation from supplier/contractor and provide detailed cost comparison/report.
  • Prepare tender documentation and review the selection of suppliers/contractors.
  • Review contract terms and ensure compliance of legal/EHS requirement.
  • Update and enrich database/benchmark to perform data analysis for decision making
Requirements
  • Bachelor/Degree in Quantity Surveying/Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in quantity surveying consultancy.
  • Proficient in Excel, Bluebeam (PDF tool) and database management
  • Familiar with Standard Conditions of Contract including PSSCOC and FIDIC, etc
  • Goal getting, driven, committed, with strong planning and execution capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
