The Business Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle for new or existing products. Product can be either a financial product or a solution used to service business operations. The role oversees all the activities needed to get the product (or set of products) to market and supports it thereafter. Identification of customer need, business opportunity and return on investment (ROI). Gathers and prioritises product and customer requirements, defines the product vision, and works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Has insight to the market need, competitor activity, specific product cost structures and value creation opportunities and so forms the business case as to how value can be created, specific price points and analysis of market sizing / potential. Executes joint business plans by collaborating with influencers to drive adoption and value creation. Ensures the product supports overall the company strategy and goals and is legally and regulatory compliant. The Business Product Manager leads execution of the innovation process and drives innovation ROI. Establishes a product governance model and defines scope of the product, regularly reviews product to resolve issues during the product\xe2\x80\x99s lifecycle. If applicable, in the absence of a dedicated product marketing specialist, the Business Product Manager assumes the marketing responsibilities.

At the heart of Deutsche Bank is the Corporate Bank (CB), a market leader in cash management, trade finance, lending, trust and agency services and securities services, as well as risk management for foreign exchange and interest rates - Securities Services (SeS) provides custody, clearing and settlement and fund services to global custodians, broker/dealers, and prime brokers as well as buy-side firms and other institutional clients.

In SeS, we are recruiting a fund accountant professional with deep traditional experience in accounting, instrument valuations, fund administration operations; familiar with insurance/asset owner segments and who wants to further deepen and extend his/her career capabilities with digital data, cloud and artificial intelligence in fund services.

As such, we offer the position of APAC regional product design and delivery subject matter expert (Accounting & Valuations) who will directly report into the Fund Services Tribe Lead/global head of fund services product management. The successful candidate will work with him and the other forward looking stakeholders to drive a multi-year strategic transformation delivery roadmap and deliver positive impacts.

The successful candidate should have interests to leverage his/her existing experience and expertise with leading technology, and to work with operations to facilitate and deliver new, automated impactful value for asset managers and owners. In doing so, he/she will collaborate across sales, operations, technology and risks management teams to define, communicate, roadmap and deliver to agreed results and milestones, and function as an empowered subject matter leader in the ongoing fund services strategic transformation.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Lead the design/redesign, definitions and descriptions of fund services accounting, financial instrument valuation and reporting services/microservices for asset owners, asset managers and operations. Incorporate approved new services into the fund services strategic transformation roadmap, facilitate execution dependencies and resourcing. Reporting services include client customisation requests, regulatory-required and year-end/periodic period financial statements.
  • Analyse and relate IFRS, local accounting standards and financial instrument valuations to data description and product/data sources required for necessary and insightful reports for regulators, asset manager/owner clients and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with different subject matter experts like data engineers and developers.
  • As a subject matter expert in multidisciplinary teams to implement transformation deliverables and services.
  • Support set-up of accounting and financial instrument valuation methodologies for clients as required. Support trouble shooting, risks reviews, and contribute to client\xe2\x80\x99s RFPs and inquiries.
  • Work across sales, operations, technology and risks management to implement digital data-driven reporting services on timely basis to clients and markets; manage book of work; propose ideas, identify and escalate emerging risks, involve new facilitators and mitigate inhibitors of success.
  • Review, streamline range of customised reports and establish going forward basis to realise operations scalability and cost saving.
  • Review and facilitate standardisation of data description and entity relationships.
  • Be involved in relevant industry working groups related to fund administration.
  • Conduct internal trainings.
Your skills and experience:
  • 8 to 10+ years of fund administration operations hands-on experience including client and regulatory reporting and financial year-end activities.
  • 4 to 5+ years of experience in insurance fund administration or investment servicing operation requirements including look-through accounting, unit-linked funds, insurance assets accounting and segregated mandates.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of fund administration lifecycle processes including exceptions and main risks.
  • Evidenced expertise in IFRS and/or local equivalent accounting standards, financial instrument valuations and reporting in the asset management/owner industry.
  • Demonstrated track record in timely deliveries and performance under time pressured situations.
  • Proven analytical and skills to communicate (written/verbal/listening) clearly and in detail.
  • Evidenced knowledge of digital data, cloud and/or artificial intelligence. Beginner\xe2\x80\x99s level is acceptable.
  • Familiar with a matrix reporting environment, comfortable with ambiguity, able to plan, empathetic and see from different point of views, driven and able to multi-task.
Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
