The Rates & Credit Controller, Markets and Treasury Financial Control (MTFC) is critical to making this happen and is a key role within the broader Rates and Credit Control Team.

The role is responsible for reviewing, challenging, and substantiating daily PnL outcomes across Rates and Credit. Whilst, the primary focus of the role is to ensure the accuracy of Rates and Credit PnL, given MTFCs mandate also includes Valuation Control and Financial Control the incumbent for this role needs the capability to respond to and address issues arising as a result of Valuation and Balance sheet considerations in a timely manner.

In addition to these key control competencies the incumbent for this role will also need to provide insights into the key factors driving PnL outcomes for Management Information and Financial reporting and have a good understanding of control requirements to ensure that ANZs auditory and regulatory responsibilities are met.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Strong knowledge of Rates and Credit Product control, familiarity with Valuation and Financial control. Knowledge of Rates and Credit markets. (Candidates with Market Risk and Valuations Control will also be considered).

Deep knowledge of Financial Markets \xe2\x80\x93multiple asset class knowledge is a plus.

Strong PnL attribution and risk dynamics understanding.

Strong system skills (Excel VBA, Access, SQL)

Continuous Improvement Focus

Excellent stakeholder management skills

Tertiary qualification is preferred (accounting / commerce / economics / mathematics / engineering etc).
