Job Description

Our client is from Plastics Manufacturing Industry. They are looking for an R&D Engineer to assist their team for the next phrase of their business. They are located in East- easily accessible.

Duties

Product Development & Research

- Conduct new product research, feasibility studies, and scope projects based on customer requirements, resources, and timelines.

Customer & Collaboration Engagement

- Identify customer challenges, liaise with technical teams and collaborators to drive product innovation and fulfil project deliverables.

Material & Technology Evaluation

- Assess polymers, reinforcements, and additives; recommend raw materials based on performance vs. cost; propose technology roadmaps for future product pipelines.

Data & Reporting

- Perform data analysis, prepare project progress reports, and develop business cases for new technology implementation.

Bench & Scale-up Management

- Conduct experimental runs, scale-up for mass production, validate product performance, and implement testing protocols.

Knowledge Transfer & Support

- Provide technical support on quality issues, transfer product knowledge during scale-up, and coach staff on testing equipment and processes.

Operations & Safety

- Operate laboratory equipment, run trial activities, and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.

Quality & Organizational Support

- Participate in ISO QMS audits, maintain documentation, and undertake projects to support organizational objectives.

Requirements

Minimum Degree in Science or Engineering, preferably in material science, polymer technology or chemical engineering. Minimum 3 years experience with strong background in organic and inorganic materials formulation, polymer processing and characterization. Experience in polymer compounding flow simulation and /or tooling CAD/CAM will be an added advantage
