Job Overview:

The R&D & Food Innovation Burger King Lead will be a key player in the Burger King innovation agenda execution as he/she will be leading important innovation projects, applying culinary & supplier expertise to contribute to future innovation calendar mapping and help drive action with key stakeholders. This is a perfect opportunity for candidates with a growth mindset, curiosity, and hands-on approach, to enjoy leading significant projects while collaborating fluently across functions, geographies, and supplier networks.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Led regional innovation and renovation projects. Develop superior products, with a focus on the excellence of taste and quality of the portfolio.
  • Drive clear action plans and recommendations with key stakeholders on consumer-driven innovation plans.
  • Play an instrumental role in developing, testing, and refining the Burger King menu leveraging global guidelines, market research, and consumer feedback.
  • Provide guidance to local innovation teams on product development and product standards.
  • Supplier relationship management/partnership \xe2\x80\x93 work directly and collaborate with vendors to develop new products through an aligned commercialization process.
  • Utilize technical mastery to develop winning flavor/taste combinations, and drive uniqueness through innovation ideas.
  • Leverage and expand suppliers\xe2\x80\x99 chef network- bring new insights, and organize ideation sessions and supplier innovation days.
  • Organize online and offline innovation ideation and pipeline-building meetings.
  • Contribute to delivering against Burger King sustainability targets through leading food innovation projects in this area.
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience working in a food service culinary lead role with a proven record of delivering successful innovations; a culinary certificate is a plus (from hospitality school, apprenticeship).
  • Previous experience in QSR, FMCG, or in Supplier is required.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in culinary arts, nutrition, and/or food science, food technology.
  • Technical mastery in culinary taste/flavors, with the ability to bring consumer insights to life.
  • Experience in a corporate R&D environment with a proven track record in leading projects.
  • Experience using commercial kitchen equipment and modern cooking technology.
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of Mandarin will be treated as an additional advantage.
