This job will be part of the Electronic Industrial Solutions Group, which provides test and measurement solutions across a broad set of electronic industrial end markets, focusing on high-growth applications in the automotive and energy industries, and measurement solutions for consumer electronics, education and manufacturing, as well as semiconductor parametric testing, nano-positioning metrology and material science. The group provides electronic design and test software, instruments, and systems used in the simulation, design, validation, manufacturing, installation and optimization of electronic equipment.



1. Define and Validate Customer Outcomes: As the software R&D Product Owner, you will work closely with stakeholders and end users to define and validate the desired customer outcomes and use cases. You will have the opportunity to design or re-design features and shape the desired outcomes of the solution.
2. User-Centric Approach: Gain a deep understanding of how end users interact with and consume the solution, and translate that knowledge into clear actionable insights and direction for the development team. Ensure that the user\'s perspective is at the forefront of decision-making processes.
3. Proof of Value: Lead the Proof of Value efforts for new use cases and customer workflows, aiming to bring incremental value and differentiation to the solution. Demonstrate the tangible benefits and feasibility of proposed solutions through practical validation.
4. Backlog Management: Take ownership of the backlog, ensuring that it is well-maintained and transparent to the team. Prioritize items based on their value and impact, and effectively communicate the status to all stakeholders.
5. Liaison and Collaboration: Act as the main liaison between stakeholders, end users, and the development team. Foster strong working relationships and alignment with executives and peers across various departments, including sales, product management, marketing, order fulfilment, support, and finance.
6. Cross-functional Leadership: Lead or own cross-functional projects that validate new ideas and assumptions, and conduct research and investigations using proof-of-concepts and new technologies. Collaborate with different teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
7. Software Feature Roadmap Ownership: Own the overall software feature roadmap, ensuring that it aligns with the company\'s strategic objectives and customer needs. Continuously refine and evolve the roadmap based on market trends, customer feedback, and business priorities.
8. Active Market and Industry Engagement: Actively participate and collaborate in market and industry consortiums, groups, organizations, etc. Develop long-lasting relationships with industry experts, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies, and incorporating relevant insights into the product strategy.
9. Leadership and Results Orientation: This position requires strong leadership skills to influence, build rapport, and establish credibility. It is a tactical role with a primary focus on executing projects and delivering tangible results.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in electrical/electronic/computer engineering or computer science.
• 6+ years of total relevant working experience.
• Any experience and exposure to AGILE software development would be a plus.
• Any experience and exposure as a software product owner would be a plus.
• Any experience with UX wireframe, Figma, Balsamiq would be a plus.
• Any experience with AI and ML modelling and applied techniques would be great.
• Team player to drive resolution on challenges in a cross-functional global organization.
• Strong time and project management skills; extremely detail oriented.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with external customers and users.
• Fluency in English is required. Excellent writing and communicator.
• Strong presentation skills, including the ability to listen well to customer needs and the ability to translate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences of all levels of an organization.
• Expert-level proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• 10-20% world-wide travel when required (post Covid-19).
