Real Time Defects Analysis and Metrology (RAM) Engineers
Micron is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
As a Micron RAM (Real Time Defects Analysis and Metrology) Engineer, you will be providing in-fab data that quantifies the statistics of every process used to make the memory chips that are powering the mobile devices, data centers, autonomous cars, IoT, and of course personal computers in use across the globe. We continually evaluate new metrology methods, techniques, and equipment to deliver state of the art process characterization, enabling the industry\'s leading technology portfolio!
The RAM Engineers are classified into three main categories, and there are opportunities for cross-learning.
Metro Application Engineer
Micron as an advanced semiconductor facility, we use innovative metrology technology. Our team combines strong foundational knowledge in physics, robust data analysis and modeling skills with goals to enhance product yield. We gain exposure to the entire wafer fabrication process, collaborating across teams to identify root causes and implement effective inline detection solutions. Additionally, we stay updated about the latest memory technology advancements through collaboration with R&D fabs and engage with suppliers to explore innovative metrology solutions. Our work also involves strategic planning for cost savings.
RAM Operation Lead
In our high-volume manufacturing facilities, efficient product movement is crucial. We work closely with process owners to strike the right balance between product yield and cycle time. As the first point of contact, we ensure quick responses to maintain tool availability and oversee a group of technicians. Our responsibilities include creating standard operating procedures, providing training, and ensuring smooth operations.
RAM Equipment Owners
Ensuring stable hardware components is essential for accurate measurements. We collaborate with vendors for regular, preventive, and corrective maintenance, maintaining optimal hardware conditions. We act as experts for hardware-related queries, bridging communication between facilities and vendors during installations, relocations, and upgrades. Our focus on quality control and cost reduction enhances overall productivity.
