Description

Kenvue, part of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies (Kenvue), is currently recruiting for: Regional Head, APAC E2E Packaging R&D The Regional Head is responsible for leading a geographically dispersed and diverse APAC (Asia Pacific) team to develop and deploy packaging across new product launches and support to rapidly growing markets across all franchises and channels of Essential Health, Skin Health & Self Care. This role would require developing the Regional Packaging strategy connected to the Global Packaging strategy driving a consistent, consumer-centric, fit-for-purpose, channel ready and connected E2E packaging focused pipeline, leveraging the wider Packaging skills and capabilities, internally and externally, to deliver innovation and business continuity for the region. This role includes leading change management, capacity and capability resource mapping as required to evolve packaging E2E expertise, Right The First Time process and execution excellence striving to accelerate Regional Business goals tied to the Global objectives. What will you do This role will be accountable to deliver financial, sustainability, innovation, and data requirements to support the region and global organization. This role will establish an agile, flexible resourcing model (insourcing and outsourcing) to lead and adapt the region ensuring coordination with other regional packaging heads and technical transfer of assets as required, leveraging technical capabilities, shared infrastructure, digitized methods and sustainable solutions to improve delivery. Within the region, this role would work closely with each franchise, Marketing, Design, R&D, supply chain and other cross-functional business partners to balance the needs and prioritize packaging portfolio. The role would also need to partner with other Regional and Global Packaging leaders to maximize innovations and process consistency as an organization and enable the APAC packaging team to work closely with packaging suppliers in identifying and developing the package, and guide them in rapid response problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evolving the team\xe2\x80\x99s ways of working to de-risk, improve solutions, connect data and improve employee experiences aligning and engaging the team in the vision.
  • Focus on building a robust regional packaging pipeline to maximize deployment and maintenance of existing assets as well as demonstrate inorganic growth through a packaging lens.
  • Leverage new ways of working and an integrated portfolio to deploy the right resources to the right initiatives at the right time, enhancing the organizations\xe2\x80\x99 ability to deliver consistently.
  • Build and acquire the right pipeline of talent and capabilities, and succession planning needed to develop future leaders, drive growth and consumer relevant innovation, tactical deployment and sustainment for the region.
  • Ensure E2E ownership of key initiatives to increase successful execution, speed to market while reducing unnecessary governance and complexity
  • A focus on business acumen and technical agility in execution with excellence as a strategic business partner
  • Work as a Packaging team, connecting and shaping with the other regions and enabled by Packaging Operations & Packaging Experience teams
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners and industry leaders to identify new trends and opportunities
  • Share best practices to improve portfolio and execution strategies in consumer
  • Attract top talent to create the right team and capabilities to support portfolio and initiatives execution
  • Enable data-based portfolio and personnel decisions to drive upstream innovation investments and prioritization
  • Upgrade and enhance ways of working to digital first methods
  • Incorporate a variety of business models and modern growth strategies to cultivate new solutions.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Professional Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree, Preferred Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Packaging Technology, Engineering or Technical Fields
  • 12+ Years Packaging \xe2\x80\x93 Portfolio Management \xe2\x80\x93 Strategy \xe2\x80\x93 Manufacturing - with direct experience in Consumer Goods and region
  • Min. 5 years People Management experience across diverse geographies
  • Financial acumen to effectively convey business risks, opportunities, and strategies
  • Experience across a range of value chain functions, businesses, and organizations
  • Abilities in interacting and communicating with different regions and functions
  • Global Project and Portfolio Management expertise
  • Strategic and operational acumen to define, set up and lead multicounty, cross functional organization
  • Build collaborative partnerships across R&D, Marketing and Supply Chain to strategize and execute
  • Business acumen and technical depth in the areas of consumer goods packaging materials, manufacturing technologies, design for sustainability, predictive simulations and e-commerce readiness.
  • Translative ability to communicate and create alignment with senior management and the wider organization
  • Agile mindset to continuously optimize processes and drive change management
  • Packaging sustainability expertise & track record and industry leadership in the space
  • Experience deriving and utilizing data insights and digital tools & understanding of digital environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a complex portfolio of tools and capabilities
  • Effective relationship management with external partners, ranging from academia to emerging and established technologies
