Our client is an leading Italian manufacturer of building automation and energy management systems, smart technology, security and access control systems, IoT software and mobile applicationsRESPONSIBILITIESThis role will mainly be responsible for the education of partners, distributors, dealers, and customers and the applications of VIMAR Group\'s products and solutions (Wiring Devices, Hotel Guest Room Management Systems, Smart Home Automation Systems, Video Door Entry Systems, CCTV Systems, Gate Barriers, and Access Control Systems) to projects in the Asia Pacific region (Include Mainland China).Reporting to the General Manager based in Singapore, the Application Engineer shall identify knowledge gaps and define and implement an effective education and training plan for the customers. Support site implementation and warranty claim requests from customers across the region. He/She will work with cross-matrix functional teams in Singapore and Italy Headquarters, as well as country heads in APAC, to support VIMAR Group\'s customers in the Asia Pacific region with technical training, certifications, products, solutions and systems architecture design, project implementation and after-sales management of technical aspects.As a proactive individual, he/she shall be dedicated to improvement plans and creating competitive advantages in terms of technical aspects for internal and external stakeholders (customers, developers, architects, designers, consultants, contractors) with evidence-based analysis of competitor solutions and market trends. He/She will keep abreast of VIMAR Group\'s new products and technologies, as well as those of competitors and the market in general.Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are mandatory for efficient and effective coordination of work processes with colleagues, customers, and project stakeholders across APAC and Europe, whereby the capability to read social cues is an added advantage for in-person meetings locally and overseas.REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor\'s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronic, or related disciplines) is preferred. A diploma in Engineering with two years of experience is the minimum requirement.
• Theoretical knowledge and practical experience with hotel, home, or building automation systems is an advantage.
• Theoretical knowledge and practical experience with door entry systems & Security systems is an advantage.
• Enjoys problem-solving and sees challenges as opportunities for learning and thriving.
• Enthusiastic and proactive individual who can contribute to the team in realizing iconic, large-scale projects.
• Good planning and organization skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (can talk to MEP contractors as well as the Chief Engineer in the hotel)
• English is a must, Chinese is a bonus since this role involves liaising with stakeholders in mainland China and Hong Kong, and other Asian languages are a bonus too.
• Hands-on experience in KNX or other automation system installation & testing commissioning is a bonus.
• Traveling to countries in APAC is required.
