About the Role: A newly created opportunity has arisen for a full-time Regional Employee Engagement Specialist, to join our APAC HR team. Reporting to the Regional Manager, Talent Management - APAC the Regional Employee Engagement Specialist is responsible for the overall Employee Engagement Strategy and providing effective initiatives and stable end-to-end processes in the APAC region in consultation with your manager. This role plays an important part in monitoring and reviewing Olympus’s performance in key employee engagement areas and recommending and overseeing strategies and initiatives to enhance employee engagement
Your attention to detail, appreciation for process design and ability to interpret information as a strategic thinker with the end goal in mind, will support your success in this role. Key success factor of this role is to align with Regional Functional Leaders and Country Managing Directors to address their needs and aspiration. In addition, conducting continuous employee communication considering cultural nuance and collaboration with Global HR are also critical. Furthermore, you will have the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Enhance the Health Organization concept, including Work-Life balance activities, and well-being programs such as Employee Assistance Programs, and develop Regional Strategy for the Global Health Organization concept in consultant with Regional Talent Management Manager and Regional HR Head and Regional Representative Officer.
  • Manage the Employee Engagement Survey strategy and process in conjunction with the Regional Talent Management Manager and Regional HR Head and Regional Representative Officer.
  • Monitor and enhance Diversity/Inclusion
  • Monitor Labor matters and Human Rights
  • Manage Global CEO award /Regional Award Employee Award programs and understand local award activities in each country

What we are looking for: To be successful in this role, you will need to be a proactive, achievement-orientated and determined individual with:
  • Advanced knowledge of Employee Engagement including engagement survey, remote/hybrid work style, Diversity and Inclusion, well-being, and due diligence.
  • Highly developed facilitation and communication across multiple legal entities in APAC.
  • Highly developed interpersonal & communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop effective and professional relationships with people across multiple legal entities in APAC.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Mature, constructive but decisive in approach. Proactive and outcome-oriented.
  • Model leadership behaviours in conjunction with Olympus Core Values (Integrity, Empathy, Long-term View, Agility and Unity).
Ideally, you will have:
  • Experience as an Employee Engagement SME and project management is essential.
  • Formal qualifications in either Business (particularly HR), Business Administration, or Management.
  • Formal project/change management qualifications are highly desirable.
