Role Introduction To create an engaged and high performing culture within all functions and countries within the region. This role will proactively partner with line managers to support them to engage, develop and coach their people as well as delivering high quality training and development into the region. Key Responsibilities Line Manager Capability and Leadership Development
Proactively provide line manager support to build an engaged and productive team
Support performance improvement cases and help with formal performance management processes as a Subject Mater Expert and coach
Utilise central leadership development materials and frameworks to deliver local leadership development activities including training courses, micro training delivery, coaching sessions, drop-in sessions and other initiatives to support line managers' capability
Ensure a leadership induction programme for newly promoted supervisors is in place and is delivered in a timely and engaging manner
Identify innovative ways to deliver line manager coaching and training and support remotely and with use of technology
People Development
Ensure a local induction is in place for new hires (Brushwingers) in a timely and engaging manner
Ensure regulatory training is completed in accordance to Compliance Regulatory requirements and monitor Brushwingers' completion for eLearning and other safety or induction related training
Facilitate the delivery of centrally designed training programmes within the local teams in an effective and engaging way
Conduct regular Training Needs Analysis for all functions and for each country to support the regional teams to perform better
Develop and deliver targeted local training for functions - identifying skills gaps and opportunities to improve performance through people development
Submit the training budget for functional and regulatory training for Regional Heads review in a timely and accurate manner
Generate reports for training completion to help Country Managers to understand training status as required
Identify opportunities for local government funding and support for training initiatives in each market and partner with the local people team to secure these opportunities
Measure effectiveness of training efforts drawing upon central tools and methodology
Work with Cathay Academy to suggest ideas and best practices and provide feedback on how global initiatives are aligned with the local context
Develop and execute a Regional Engagement Plan that suits the business culture and needs including links to global engagement programmes, events and initiatives
Partner with the global engagement teams and community to suggest ideas and best practices and provide feedback on how global initiatives are fitting into local context
Contribute to global communication and engagement activities to ensure they are fit for purpose for the market
Drive Work Well Done campaigns and Betsy nominations across the region
Develop and implement local recognition programmes to suit the needs of the local teams
Collaborate with Regional PPL team, Country team and Head Office Cathay Academy & Talent Management team to promote and nurture a Cathay culture with guiding principles to all teams
Communications
Develop and manage internal communication campaigns to support varied communications objectives and our broader company strategy for targeted employee groups
Develop engagement content with an employee focus, that spans the internal communications channel mix including our digital employee portal (intranet), videos, digital screens, social media and other online and office channels to engage our geographically dispersed workforce
Proactively manage, monitor and improve upon a range of online and office internal communications channels to ensure they are full-utilised and paired with relevant content
Provided project support across the business with their communications requirements and ensure communications are of a high standard across our channels
Support the team's communication requirements in crisis situations
Create and manage internal communication reports, analyse data and make recommendations based on actionable insights
Work with agencies and / or vendors as required
Keep up to date with the latest internal communications trends, technologies and innovations
E&A
Emergency and Accident and Crisis Response responsibilities as required
Academic Qualifications
Degree in Human Resources or equivalent (preferred)
Certificates in adult education / training delivery (preferred) Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
5 - 7 years of experience in HR or closely related area
Practical experience in business partnership
Demonstrably superior communication and facilitation skills
Experience in training design and delivery
Practical experience in leading a team across multiple locations
High energy and motivational style
Confident in conducting engagement events
Ability to influence a team environment
