Job Description
Job Scope
- Analyzing variances in sales, gross margin, Selling, General and Administration expenses (SG&A), and Balance Sheet for the Quarterly Management Presentation (QMP).
- Compiling a monthly consolidated Asia Flash report, including variance analysis for the corporate planning department, and preparing a monthly working capital forecast.
- Reviewing the financial system to ensure accurate reporting in the Corporate consolidation system. This involves tasks such as reclassifying accounts, conducting origin and department analyses, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
- Coordinating the reporting of \'local\' trial balances and US GAAP adjustments for entities in Asia to the Corporate consolidation system. Preparing supplementary packages as needed for Corporate reporting purposes.
- Evaluating and analyzing strategic planning and Annual Operating Plans (AOPs) submitted by Asia\'s originating entities.
- Creating a consolidated strategic planning and AOP for Asia, and submitting a corporate planning reporting package. This package includes projections for sales, SG&A, EBIT, Economic profit, and the Area balance sheet.
- CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA qualifications
- Good accounting knowledge of basic accounting cycles, key controls, corporate reporting and US GAAP.
- Accounting experience within an accounting/shared services environment is a bonus
