Job Responsibilities
Regional Head, Architecture & Engineering is responsible for:

• Define, communicate and implement region\'s Technology architecture strategy aligned to the bank\'s and region\'s business and tech strategy within the local market
• Define the country roadmaps and govern the local execution of the bank / region\'s tech strategy as much as possible and accommodating for local differences where needed.
• Investigate and evaluate opportunities for innovation in the local market and wherever possible advocate at the regional level
• Lead the development of resilience solutions, aiming to strengthen reliability, observability, operability and scalability across multiple business domains and region
• Work closely with various stakeholders to understand the architecture and design of different applications in the bank in order to help quickly resolve service impacting issues, detect and self-heal problems before they become service impacting, and provide valuable information and data back to the application developers in order to improve the long-term reliability of the platform.

Job Requirements

• Enterprise Architecture - Define and embed an Enterprise Architecture capability to build the foundations, frameworks, enablers and overarching governance to accelerate our delivery, execute efficiently and ensure our services both remain secure (by design) and meet minimum regulatory requirements.
• Target State \xe2\x80\x94 Define and own the technology target state for all of our foundational enablers globally such as digital channels, core banking, cloud, data, end user, infrastructure, integration, networks and security.
• Evaluate opportunities in the local market/cluster for technology optimisation and champion the adoption
• Portfolio Optimisation & Roadmaps \xe2\x80\x94 Align local investment of capabilities/features to identify efficiencies, redirecting investment from tactical to target state spend aligned
• Partner with application developers and architects to ensure our services are built for scale and performance
• Develop the monitoring solutions on top of existing observability platforms
• Drive product reliability improvements through monitoring, alerting, and application of software development best practices
