the implementation of effective and efficient processes according to DGF GOM including the Optimization of onshore & offshore RtR-set up.

Oversees financial transaction processing and reconciliations within the division, ensuring that robust controls are in operation and are managed effectively in line with the Corporate Accounting & Controlling Guideline / Policy
Ensures the financial statements of subsidiaries prepared within the framework of Corporate Accounting & Controlling Guideline
Minimizes audit qualifications on subsidiaries
Initiates and implements changes in financial statement of subsidiaries to conform to relevant financial standards
Manages internal and external auditing activities together with line finance and auditing organization
Promotes strong internal control environment in operational system covering various activities such as Balance Sheet improvement in terms of quality and contents Management inter-company process
Updates divisional specific accounting & controlling processing procedure and accounting & controlling definition within the framework of Corporate Accounting and accounting system
Statutory Accounts and Taxes, maintaining an overview of significant local reporting issues, Supports countries in issue resolution and implementation of changes. Ensures compliance with VAT regulations, both in global systems and at reporting entity level.
Reviews monthly CREST reporting for quality control and risk management
Develops and maintains a continuous process improvement culture
Ensures all financial activities and processes are supported by the appropriate information systems
Drives the development of the financial accounting function in line with corporate requirements
Maintains relationships and shares experience across the finance and at local/ regional/ global level to achieve compatibility in organization design and effective interface with other functions
Provides leadership or support global / regional / country project of accounting process and system streamlining and optimization of offshoring activities.
Ensures the smooth flow of all accounting transactions from DHL operational systems as well as external applications into DGF finance systems and from there ensuring all parts of the organization are able to meet their corporate (CREST) and external financial reporting obligations.
Control DHL Global Forwarding Financial Accounting activities related to general ledger for all countries within DGF Asia Pacific and related activities @GSC.
Ensures compliance in the areas of financial reporting, budgeting, accounting policies, investments, tax & fiscal related risk management matters in accordance with the group policies & guidelines and local business environment.
Perform adequate number of balance sheet reviews concerning local books as well as CREST reporting to ensure
Internal Control System is followed
All IFRS-accounting standard are followed, especially when changes are upcoming, e.g. Leasing IFRS 16
All external and internal audit findings related to accounting are followed up and corrected adequate
- Proper reporting - e.g. of CDZ according to latest guideline changes
Project implementation in accounting:
e.g. of Steering Logic from accounting to ensure that the CREST reporting reconciles with Forwin e.g. New TMS implementation is supporting our accounting and reporting standards e.g. New GST-rules in India
Collaborate closely with Country RtR-Tower leads as well as Country-CFO as well as GSC Tower leads when needed
>> KPI: No CFO Letters for DGF AP Countries due to timely and qualitative CREST reporting by all DGF Asia Pacific Reporting units Finance & Projects Ensures the proper management, reporting and reforecasting of controlled budgets, and participate in budgeting of resources to manage the projects successfully. Financial management at departmental level as required. People Management
Team leadership, coaching, development, performance management etc.
Sets up the accounting project team and develops individuals to Subject Matter Experts (SME) for DGF core systems
Maintains succession plan for the key roles in team
Prepares personal development plans for the team members
Experience/Qualifications
Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
Professional accountancy qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent).
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree (in any discipline) or MBA (preferable)
More than 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in various general finance and controlling functions, accompanied by wide experience at senior level
Having significant experience with operational- as well as finance-IT-solutions for freight forwarding (Global) and customs clearance (local solution)
Having gained experience as CFO in CT for 3-5 years
Having gained experience as senior manager in region or global for 3-5 years
To understand the strategic targets but also operational- as well as system-challenges ... bottom up as well as top down
