Get to know the Role:
You will report to the Regional Head of GrabAds and Monetisation.
As the Regional Head of SMB Demand Generation, you will lead the development and execution of Grabs omnicommerce, marketing promotions and advertising strategy for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB). Working with cross-functional teams, your focus will be on driving revenue growth through tailored marketing and advertising solutions for SMBs. You\'ll manage a team and collaborate with leaders from various departments (e.g. Country Operations, Technology functions, Sales & Support, Marketing, etc) to create a compelling Self-Serve promotions, ads and consumer engagement platform solution. Your responsibilities include business planning and execution, people leadership and team management in order to achieve the teams target metrics.
General Responsibilities:
Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive SMB omnicommerce, marketing promotions and advertising self-serve and sales strategy aligned with business goals and market trends.
Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by identifying monetization opportunities and optimizing SMB promotions, advertising and engagement campaigns.
Customer Acquisition and Retention: Develop strategies to acquire new SMB merchants while ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention rates. Set clear pipeline management goals and KPIs for the team across multiple opportunity areas
Performance Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
Product Development: direct product input to the design and build of our SMB platforms working alongside our Product & Engineering leadership
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align SMB promotions, advertising and engagement efforts with overall business strategies.
People & Org leadership: Build (i.e. hiring, coach, develop, motivate) a high performing and culturally aligned team of Grabbers
Be a Role Model by ensuring a healthy working culture based on mutual respect and by personally embodying and demonstrating Grab principles.
The day-to-day activities
Identify and drive business, product, and operational marketing requirements needed to support SMB merchants utilizing Grabs SMB self-serve promotions, advertising and engagement services
Deploy the Grab merchant marketing platform solution to merchants and train the merchant commercial teams through collaboration with Product Marketing, Sales Enablement and Customer Success teams.
Gain a deep understanding of local needs for SMB merchants on how their businesses operate, and what challenges Grab can help alleviate to make them successful through our solution offerings.
Design and Deploy scalable processes across Grab in collaboration with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance functions to support a high volume of Merchant partners.
Collaborate with business units on joint SMB marketing programs and activities.
Forecasting and provide performance reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to stakeholders.key business dashboard benchmark designed KPIs
Organize and drive weekly updates, meetings, and communication across countries, product & engineering stakeholders.
Oversee teams people management aspects including managing a highly motivated team, hiring / coaching / mentoring / retaining best-in-class performers, resource planning, career development and providing guidance for your Team Leads. Provide a conducive and progressive team environment for growth and learning.
The must-haves:
Solid proven track record leading B2B sales or general management with experience working with SMBs across Southeast Asia
Previous experience with Self-Serve online sales platforms and customer adoption strategies
Sound understanding & experience of marketing deals, digital Ads Ecosystem for both Online & Offline experiences
Experience leveraging sales enablement tools (CRM, Content, Marketing Automation)
Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and enforcing cross functional processes
Excellent communication & presentation skills with the ability to transmit across different level stakeholders
Analytical with a strong bias for data-based decisions
Team Player with the ability to work across a matrix environment in a fast paced environment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Proven experience building and leading high performing teams in similar capacities.
