Your Focus
As Regional Industry and Marketing Leader, your role is to develop a regional marketing and industry strategy for Asia including strategic marketing initiatives, customer price setting, product offering according to customer needs and portfolio positioning.

Leading strategy of enzymes and yeast in the areas of carbohydrate processing and fermentation alcohol, you are expected to deliver against revenue and margin targets for a large complex region including Greater China, North Asia, South Asia, ANZ and SEA. You will front the portfolio for customers to help establish business growth and market share in the Grain Processing (Grain Based Alcohol and Carbohydrate Processing) industry.

The role will see you providing insights and collaborating with cross functional teams for current and future customer expectations, to support product development and new product launch in the Market.

This role is Singapore based and will report to the US based VP, Grain Processing.

How you will contribute and lead

  • Lead the market, customer, and competitor intelligence gathering across Asia business units. Use those market insights to develop execution plans and strategy for success in the Asia region.
  • Ensure sales force is sufficiently equipped to execute Grain strategy from a knowledge and sales tools perspective, including the development of product training and customer presentations/webinars in collaboration with Technical Service, Applications and Product managers.
  • Identify new grain business opportunities for molecules/strains and work with applications to prioritize application development products to turn these opportunities into new sales.
  • Through the identification of new opportunities and applications, prepare business cases to justify the investment.
  • Collaborate with team on pricing for key account and fleet negotiations.
  • Interface with Sales, Supply Chain and Product Management to ensure accurate forecasting and management of supply stocks, as it relates to new products and formulation transitions to ensure smooth transition and working capital targets are met.
  • Support sales team in customer and industry visits by contributing to strategic customer relationships in support of the sales team.
  • Report to the Business Vice President and work closely with the cross functional teams both in Asia region and across the globe.
Job Requirements

What you will need to be successful
  • Master\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in Biotechnology combined with MBA or, a Business degree combined with sufficient science knowledge to enable quick learning of basic enzyme technology.
  • Overall 10 years\' experience from the industry with at least 5-10 years of proven track record in Sales, Marketing in B2B multinational organizations.
  • Good understanding of the Grain Processing Industry - carbohydrate processing and/or fermentation ethanol preferred.
  • Knowledge of Asia (key competitors, customers) Grain Processing industry will be an added advantage.
  • Aptitude to assimilate data and perform analysis to create scenarios, ability to develop new approaches to test solution, comfortable in asking questions.
  • Good capacity to move inside the organization articulating the necessary changes to make the business happen.
  • Ability to network and influence throughout functional organization to deliver results for the Asia region.
  • Excellent business acumen, capability to translate opportunities into solid business cases.
  • Strong leadership and customer relationship management skill.
  • Experience in working in a highly complex matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in matrix environment with different business leaders and cross functional teams.
  • Excellent English communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
