PUR is seeking an engaging Regional Manager to supervise Asian operations.

PUR has been working in Asia since 2011 on different kinds of projects such as community-based agroforestry and reforestation, regenerative agriculture and coastal restoration. Our team of 20+ people is mostly based in our three strategic countries: Indonesia, Thailand and China; but we also have team members in the Philippines and Vietnam. To date, more than 3.5 million trees have been planted with smallholder farmers and several initiatives including women empowerment, coral restoration, waste management and improved cookstoves are being piloted.

The fastest-growth country is Indonesia, where PUR has been working since 2013, implementing ecosystem restoration projects in coffee, cocoa and coconut supply chains, as well as broader landscape restoration initiatives.

As PUR is expanding its activities in Asia thanks to our partners, we are looking for a Regional Manager to lead our Nature Based Solutions projects in the region, translate the global strategy and contribute to the scale up of PUR.

Your missions will be but not limited to:

Regional Strategy : Build a strategy to execute PUR's vision in the region, Liaise with the top management team to exchange information and keep track of the group's strategy.

Project management : Oversee the implementation of the project activities at the regional level, work closely with the team to implement the strategy.

Project development : Oversee project designs' in existing or new regions, identify new value chains and opportunities for innovation according to PUR's global strategy.

Deliverable management : Provide recommendations to the company to improve our activities in the region, Be accountable for the deliverables quality, compliance and reliability.

Project monitoring: Provide reporting at regional level with our differents tools (Kobo, database..).

Monitoring, planning and people management : Be accountable of the resource management of the region, ensure a good dynamic of the team (workload, development of the team and career path, recruitments, onboarding, compliance..), manage the budget & reforecast to ensure the success of the activities in the region.

Partnership and representation : Identify, build relationships and supervise local partners (cooperatives, consultants). Represent PUR publicly at conferences, in meetings with existing and potential clients, and with beneficiaries in the field when needed.

You have solid Team management as well as project management skills: development and implementation of work plans, financial and technical management of contracts, liaison with relevant stakeholders, etc.; You know about field realities and local challenges; You are passionate about forestry, landscape management, agricultural entrepreneurship, and you want to have a strong impact, this position is for you!

We are looking for a candidate with:

Master's Degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields including but not limited to sustainability, political science, international relations, business, environmental sciences, agriculture, agroforestry...;

Minimum 10 years of experience in the management of projects or consulting in Asia and/or field projects implementation worldwide;

Management of operations: planning operations, following up on targets, reporting on achievements and/delays, proactively looking for solutions;

Digital Tools: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Kobo, Excel, GIS, SurveyCTO and Google Drive;

Experience related to the cocoa or coffee supply chain will be valued;

Knowledge in agribusiness, market access or carbon certification for afforestation/reforestation projects will be a strong asset;

Must be fluent in English.
