Job Purpose
This position exists to drive utilization of BD’s single cell multiomics (scM) solutions in Central, South Asia and Japan region. The associate will drive and execute lead generation activities in CASAJ, via upholding customer-centric, omni-channel campaigns, technical product training (internal and external) and support activities, while leveraging market and customer insights, competitive dynamics, and optimal product mix.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Marketing & Growth:

  • Create regional market growth strategies for BD’s scM portfolio and new product launches. These include core customer enablement, market development activities, claims and data, demand for launch plans, lifecycle management, and marketing tactics.
  • Partner global platform & R&D teams to be advocate of scM in CASAJ. Collaborate with global platform and marketing teams to develop assets and tools to address the needs of CASAJ. Actively provide customer and market feedbacks / unmet needs to global platform & R&D teams for continual product improvements and future developments.
  • Support regional marketing activities for the portfolio, including but not limited to the following:
  • Prioritizing customer needs through data and insights to deliver desired customer experience.
  • Adapting of global marketing collaterals to region, ensuring critical product collaterals and content are approved and released timely in each CASAJ country.
  • Leading the organizing and participation in relevant regional symposiums, conferences or exhibitions.
  • Monitoring competitive activities and perform ongoing market assessment and analyses to iterate strategies.
  • Identify, grow and maintain working relationships with scM KOLs in CASAJ.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with service providers and sequencing / genomics partners to grow portfolio synergistically.
  • Maintain oversight and perform ongoing in-depth pricing analysis of portfolio products across countries, to identify areas of improvements. Ensure country pricing and commercial strategies are in line with overall regional / global guidelines.

Product Education and Support:
  • Lead pre-sales and customer usage training for CASAJ teams, distributors and end customers, to ensure correct use and increase utilization of BD products.
  • Maintain technical and scientific proficiency of trending single cell multiomics applications. Develop and maintain training materials to effect cross-functional mentoring in this domain to country application teams.
  • Work closely with internal teams in applications, sales, marketing, QA/QC, technical & field service and R&D to ensure prompt resolution of customer issues.
  • Provide Bioinformatics support and training to BD customers, which include direct assistance in primary data analysis to help in technology adoption.

Our Requirements
  • Degree in Life Sciences, with strong technical and laboratory experience in single cell genomics or bioinformatics.
  • Minimum 5 years’ of relevant experience as an Applications Specialist in Life Sciences, Diagnostics, or Bioinformatics, and preferably 2 years’ in regional product management.
  • Effective communication skills to clearly articulate technical and scientific product information to both internal and external customers.
  • Bioinformatics experience in analysis of single cell sequencing data preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to help both internal and external customers.
  • Results oriented and highly motivated to succeed. Enthusiastic and independent.
  • Meticulous and organized in strategy deployment.
  • Ability to interact well with all levels of associate within country and region to drive revenue generation and smooth business operations.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
