Summary Oversees the service and operational excellence of end-to-end customer planning processes, projects and initiatives to maximise top and bottom-line results in BDB & IDS. The leader will lead planning and execution of regional level strategic initiatives and drive productivity outcomes for the entire Service operation processes in the CASAJ region that align with Global Service Operations.

Job Purpose
Oversees the service and operational excellence of end-to-end customer planning processes, projects and initiatives to maximise top and bottom-line results in BDB & IDS. The leader will lead planning and execution of regional level strategic initiatives and drive productivity outcomes for the entire Service operation processes in the CASAJ region that align with Global Service Operations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an effective governance operating model that organizes operational, financial, risk management, and reporting processes such that business conducts their activities in ways that comply with regulations and serve strategic ends
  • Identify, develop and grow profitable revenue streams and customer portfolio that improve cost of serve, service and recurring revenue and deliver full P&L goals.
  • Develop scalable, repeatable, standard processes with high service level that eliminate service gaps, ensure high-quality service to drive customer efficiency, engagement and satisfaction. This includes field services, lab automation services, quality & escalations, instrument reconditioning, regional training & specialists, etc.
  • Oversee management and development of service strategies to and support for new and existing product platforms.
  • Establish deep relationships across all levels of the organization to to drive strategic and operational alignment, retain and expand IDS & BDB portfolio adoption which contribute to the overall BD Lifesciences value proposition for our customers.
  • Identify and create necessary metrics and tools – including IT improvements – to build roadmap that supports productivity and customer experience.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships at all levels across the leadership in the region to retain and expand our IDS & BDB portfolio adoption
  • Unify backend processes and create dashboards of service operation data to enable business decision making

Our Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years sales and marketing experience with proven capability in Capital sales and/or consumable sales and with recent leadership role in the healthcare or clinical marketing of medical devices experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in the business/sciences/engineering and related field.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop business-oriented results with appropriate level of details.
  • Entrepreneurial, profit driven, “can do” attitude. Proven experience in managing P&L for a business.
  • Results oriented, metrics driven with a root cause, permanent fix approach, continuous improvement approach with high sense of urgency, self-motivation and confidence.
  • Experience in working across regional & global teams and skilled in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Asia Pac healthcare markets, practices, channel and distributor management.
  • Strong people management, leadership, communication and organizational skills to effectively plan, coordinate, and set priorities and directions for the operation and teams.
  • Available to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Additional desired skills are Lean Six Sigma Green belt / Black belt certification or equivalent.
