Regional Marketing Director \xe2\x80\x93 Knee Restoration, Orthopaedics \xe2\x80\x93 ASPAC will be a significant contributor to achieving our knee platform business objective and digital surgery capability building in the region. This role is accountable to develop and implement knee restoration strategy, which covers the knee implants portfolio management, surgical technique development and Velys ecosystem establishment. This role will be paramount in cross training the country market development managers to understand and deliver our customer facing robotic strategic direction. Additionally, this role will provide key input into the strategic development of our sales, professional education and contracting policies to be both competitive and compliant. The Director is responsible for providing Strategic Insight cross functionally to our Marketing, Commercial Operations, Strategic Accounts, Product Development, and Supply Chain functions to ensure our functional plans and strategies are designed delight our customers. The Director will work closely with the markets to understand and communicate market conditions and customer requirements, establish partnerships to leverage data analytics, and vet new business models and market access strategies to create value for surgeons and hospitals. This role requires the ability to succeed in a highly ambiguous, frequently changing environment. Digital Surgery Director, Orthopaedics \xe2\x80\x93 ASPAC will report directly to the Senior Director, ASPAC Joint, Mitek and Digital Surgery Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and direct all aspects of Knee and Velys business based on sales/profitability and other goals and objectives established in conjunction with the next highest level of management.
  • Formulates and communicates overall business objectives, policies, and strategic plans for the knee Business. Ensures effective implementation and execution of policies and plans to direct the growth of the Company and to achieve both long-term and short-range objectives.
  • Directs the development and preparation of short-term and long-range sales/profitability and other goals plans and budgets based upon the broad Business Unit goals and growth objectives.
  • Appraises and evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and reports these results. Maximizes business unit performance and productivity from insight generation to strategy development.
  • Act as the DRI for various project development and implementation activities, working side-by-side with internal partners and customers to further define elements of Digital Surgery to maximize the value of the approach and overall platform.
  • Provide strategic direction, oversight, management, and ensure execution of customer engagement opportunities with clinicians and hospital administrators to drive awareness, enable Digital Surgery integration, and define of market access business model requirements.
  • Meet and collaborate with country teams and potential customers to understand, make recommendations on, and execute against needs related to the full surgical episode (i.e. before, during, and after surgery) and digitization and connectivity of relevant data.
  • Map key stakeholders and need states and execute against account change management plans required to implement platform solution.
  • Identify and develop foundation of clinical and non-clinical stakeholder users for our data analytics solutions via pilot program.
  • Build competencies to uncover actionable clinical and economic unmet needs and facilitate best practice sharing across accounts and cross functional team, with integration into development work-stream efforts.
  • Ensure country marketing teams and strategic marketing to create advocacy and support to establish strong customer relationships.
  • Increase overall awareness among all internal and key external stakeholders of the Digital Surgery platform and its value proposition.
  • Identity customer strategic projects, align objectives, and provide recommendations to facilitate faster penetration and higher utilization of the DePuy Synthes Digital Surgery platforms when they are fully approved and launched.
  • Develop and update action plans, manage project process, and conduct follow-ups as needed to ensure hospital partners are on track with all tasks and market readiness efforts.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree is required; an MBA or related Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of overall business-related experience is preferred.
  • Previous industry experience with medical devices, healthcare software, electronic medical records, software-enabled medical devices, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, medical device engineering or IT is required.
  • Ability to perform well in an ambiguous and fast-changing market is required
  • Strong communication skills, spoken and written is required.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functional boundaries, internally and externally, with experience in leading initiatives with clinical, technical, regulatory, quality, legal, and business-oriented partners is required
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency is required
  • Strong analytical, presentation, negotiation, and organization skills are required
  • Ability to shape the external environment through trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required
  • Strong organizational leadership, with the ability to inspire and mobilize teams across different countries / cultures, in a matrix environment is required.
  • Previous experience with consulting and project management is preferred.
  • Strong customer focus and relationship building skills; experience in developing effective relationships across a diverse group of clinical and nonclinical stakeholders is preferred
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, and international teams is preferred.
