Job Description


Summary As Regional Medical Director, Medical Operations and Excellence for APMA, you will lead global medical affairs team and represent Global Medical Affairs at GPT or lead region or country TA medical team and represent TA in global teams as well as drive global medical plan & disease are strategy, action plan & execution of medical activities or co-own Medical Affairs plan/co-lead the medical franchise strategy for region or country roles.Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coach and develop team members
  • Ensure efficient execution of evidence generation activities as well as data dissemination by medical team
  • Plan and allocate resources aligned to medical budget and strategy
  • Work within Ethics and Compliance Professional Practices Policy (P3) and ensure team does the same
  • Provide medical leadership in cross-functional teams to support integrated disease area plans or drive execution of country Medical Affairs activities.
  • Optimal cross-functional alignment with GDD, Commercial and Market Access as well as cross-regional practice sharing.
  • Collaborate across functions and/or divisions to operate as \xe2\x80\x9cone team\xe2\x80\x9d and provide guidance on governance, as required
  • Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt. Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)
Minimum requirements
  • MD or PhD is an advantage
  • 7+ years of relevant experience working with high-performing regional and local medical teams in healthcare/life sciences industry
  • Track record of highly successful delivery and positive performance results driving Local / regional innovative medicine launches
  • Able to critically analyze clinical trial data and credibly articulate data related to market trends and performance within the context of business competition.
  • Have a deep understanding of the current practice landscape, future clinical trial status impacting practice, external industry bodies and key HCS stakeholders
  • Demonstrable leadership skills
  • Proficient and fluent in English (spoken and written), with good interpersonal and communication skills.
