THE COMPANY

Our Client is a US listed Multinational Corporation in the Manufacturing industry with strong presence in APAC and headquartered in Singapore. They are now looking for a Regional Payroll Specialist to join their team in Singapore, reporting to the Finance Manager.

THE ROLE

The Regional Payroll Specialist will be responsible for:

• Work closely with Payroll vendor to manage payroll processing for Singapore and South East Asia (Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam)
• Monitor payroll calendar to ensure complete summary of movements are submitted to payroll vendor for timely processing
• Review and validate payroll reports to address discrepancies to process amendments, ensure adequate funding, disbursement of salaries, filing and payment of monthly payroll statutory with-holdings are within due dates and compliance
• Assist in the extraction of payroll reports, summaries, and analyses
• Prepare accounting journal entries and work with various finance teams to prepare and upload journal entries and accounting reconciliations
• Handle queries relating to payroll related financial balances to complete monthly accounting close
• Coordinate year-end or adhoc tax activities to ensure filings are done with statutory deadlines

REQUIREMENTS

• Possesses a Degree in Accountancy/Finance
• Has at least 6 years of work experience and 2-3 years of experience handling Payroll
• Good experience in journal entry posting is a MUST
• Ability to perform a hands-on role
• Has competent usage of Microsoft Excel
