Regional Smart Buildings Director

What this job involves:

The effective management of the Smart Systems will be through policy, governance and a clear pathway and reporting structure to demonstrate progress, success and innovation. Key deliverable\'s for the role role:

Create and lead a program for digital buildings in APAC to take the portfolio from legacy non connected infrastructure to new generation cloud connected operations

Create the framework, communications and processes for the workstream to connect our teams and stakeholders to achieve the set targets

Partner with business departments to identify system improvement opportunities and lead the implementation

Lead in converting the operational vision and needs of the building into digital building briefs, implementation roadmaps and measurements required for success

Develop and implement Policy and Process for the effective management and delivery of the Smart Systems

Plan and deliver the Smart Systems Development Plan, including the promotion and trialing of new system solutions hardware and software as appropriate

Manage all aspects of the building ICT Networks, infrastructure partners and ICT digital interfaces

Assist in the Development of digital standards and manage ICT policy

Effectively manage and regularly audit to record all owned assets of hardware, software and associated Licensing

Support site critical MES enhancement projects including hardware upgrade, situations

Process streamline, architecture upgrade, project delivery and testing coordination.

Responsible for the software and data maintenance of computer systems used for the development, testing,

Understand the manufacturing processes and system configuration and make informed recommendations regarding optimal system configuration.

Support software and configuration required for external systems interfaces such LMS, FAS, BMS software tools

Set up Standard Operating Procedures for the management of the Client critical environment and ensure compliance at site.

Understands the engineering design and operational aspects of the facility\xe2\x80\x99s systems and equipment.

Must be able to recognize system shortcomings and respond to operational and emergency

Sign off and hand over from hardware deployment to software integration

Mapping building system points and data into the cloud system

Extension of building ontology (relational class, subclass, and property relationships) as needed

Metadata integration into Carson for extended integration into other data systems

Define connections between upper and lower-level systems for use within Carson

Onboard the building and/or systems in the Carson data system

Validate building or system data are live and usable by Carson

Provide updates to TSS and Vendor Partner on building/system status

Key Skills & Knowledge

The desired candidate will have knowledge and experience with MES technologies would be preferable. MS Windows Server and SQL server are also a plus.

Excellent written and communication skills are required.

Candidates must have a flexible and creative work style with a goal of achieving excellence.

Ensure the effective operation of a large governments Building Management Systems (BMS)

Familiarity with smart buildings spaces : IoT devices, transmission pipeline, databases, data transformation, rudimentary software understanding.

Good building domain expertise. Understand the BOS platform technology stack and how devices communicate to cloud. Trainable on Clearblade, UDMI, DBO, DB API, Github\xe2\x80\xa6

Subject Matter expertise on the devices to integrate. Know how IOT devices work and represent data.

Ability to identify data needs based on defined use case

Experience

The desired candidate should possess a minimum of a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in an Engineering/I.T field with at least 10 years of experience

Excellent communication skills and availability to talk to executive levels through to frontline teams

Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client staff and demands

Demonstrated experience with tendering and service improvement initiatives required.

Knowledge of occupational safety requirements

Strong PC literacy and proven ability to manage daily activities using various systems.

Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives

Demonstrated experience with client reporting and preparation of reports

As you will be conversing with other countries in English, there is a requirement for you to be proficient in the English language.
