About Our Client

Our client is a Forbes 500 MNC who have created a significant impact within the global beauty and cosmetics industry. A producer and marketer focusing on makeup, skincare, fragrance and hair care, our client is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Assistant Manager with experience in Travel Retail to positively influence their existing Travel Retail business development strategy.

  • Work closely with the global director, APAC regional manager, as well as the commercial team to support the Travel Retail (TR) business development, efficiently contributing to the business acceleration in EMEA through innovative speed-to-market regulatory solutions.
  • Work in partnership with the TR supply chain and trade compliance teams to ensure the best product assortment for TR EMEA. Work with each brand registration team to track registration status, manage product travel retail launch and supply shifting with proper registration license support.
  • Be in charge of product registration specifically on TR exclusive projects. Cooperate with global supporting team and external agents to deliver registrations in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for end-to-end regulatory support to address travel retail compliance issues. Identify business development opportunities through policy engagement specifically regarding the Hainan free trade port reforms (where applicable). Engage with key government authorities and trade associations on specific importation issues that may impact TR: e.g., CITES, international chemical weapons convention etc.
  • Assist and review distributor compliance where applicable (e.g. ELME) to ensure TR distributors adhere to company operational guidance.
  • Stay updated of all regulatory changes (global regulatory intelligence effort) and contribute to the EMEA regulatory intelligence part of the newsletter when there are particular news impacting or relevant to the travel retail business in EMEA.

The Successful Applicant

  • Possesses a B.Sc. Degree or above in Bachelor\'s degree or above in chemical, biological, or pharmacy-related disciplines.
  • At least 4 years of experience specializing in cosmetic registrations, as well as solid business acumen regarding cosmetic importation processes.
  • Experience in Travel Retail business support is desirable but not essential.
