We are looking for a candidate with a keen interest in regulatory work to assist the Regulatory Department in carrying out its functions.
The candidate will assist in the implementation of the regulatory matters under the Legal Profession Act and to carry out legal research and work on drafting articles for publication in the Singapore Law Gazette to disseminate information on regulatory issues. The specific duties include:
Administering the complaints processes, inquiries and mediation in accordance with the Legal Profession Act
Liaise with counsel instructed to carry out the litigation for the Society
Assist in the administration of Legal Profession (Solicitors' Accounts) Rules, including interventions into the client account of law practices and inspections and all other regulatory matters
Present regulatory matters to Council and Committees in person or via email in a fair and detailed manner
