Manages facilities and equipment to ensure they maintain the ability to perform effectively and efficiently. Provide fixed equipment & piping inspection support to plant operation, small capital project & Turnaround.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Perform daily inspection activities as per established fixed equipment & piping inspection program, which includes following:
Activities include visual inspection, corrosion monitoring and periodic thickness measurement on pressure vessel, tank, piping and civil structure.
Prepare JSRA & execute inspection task as per plan safely, quality and timely
Raise SAP work order for inspection recommendation
Prepare welding repair procedure with NDT & hydrotest requirement as per company QA/QC manual.
Perform corrosion rate & remaining life calculation as per API code requirement
Document & maintain plant equipment inspection record through creation of report in Asset Performance Management (APM) system
Perform inspection & testing witnessing of Pressure Relief Devices (PSV, Breather Valve, Emergency Hatch & Rupture Disc)
Perform plant shutdown inspection for pressure vessel as per Statutory & API code requirement and incinerator/heater/ furnace refractory
Perform painting/coating inspection as per approved ITP
Support day to day production urgent issues relating to reliability & integrity on fixed equipment & piping such as responding to leaks and ensures repair is done adequately and according to code.
Support MOC project and maintenance repair work\xe2\x80\x99s QA/QC matter and ensure all fabrication or welding repair works quality control are in-compliance with company QA/QC manual requirement.
Monitor & perform periodic reporting for the status of outstanding temporary repair and inspection recommendation task
Coordinate with 3rd party vendor or NDT company to perform field inspection works
Lead or support MOC to improve reliability & integrity of fixed equipment & piping
Support incident investigation and root cause analysis to improve fixed equipment & piping reliability & integrity performance
Review & approve Inspection Test Plan (ITP) submitted by contractor and develop ITP when needed.
Review and endorse 3rd party NDT result & quality control (QC) package submitted by contractor
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Diploma holder or higher in Mechanical or Material Engineering
API 510, 570, 653 certifications
Certified welding inspector (AWS, CSWIP or equivalent)
API 936 certification, NACE coating inspector
Good knowledge & experience in fixed equipment & piping\xe2\x80\x99s API inspection standard, ASME design code, corrosion mechanism, Non-destructive testing (NDT), welding practice and coating & refractory inspection
Possess 5 years or more experience in refineries or petrochemical industry
Possess good communication skills, able to work well in a team and takes initiative in engaging cross functional teams in resolving plant issues
