What the role is
Are you someone who is interested in report management? If so, we want you to be in our team at Traffic Police (TP) which is one of the unit in the Singapore Police Force (SPF) The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. The mission of Traffic Police is to enhance the safety of road users through education, engagement and enforcement. Our vision is to make Singapore roads the safest in the world. As a Report & IP Processing Officer in the Investigation Support Team of Traffic Police, you play an important role in managing traffic summon reports and documents which are time-sensitive hence officers handling them is required to be extremely wary of time-lines set for each case. You are also depended upon to troubleshoot problems that arise from the processes, discuss & propose solutions with supervisors. You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme.
What you will be working on
Part of your responsibilities is also to ensure that the emails received from members of public are attended to, processed promptly and to assist in any documenting issues on a daily basis which includes re-servicing of summon notices through system, updating of driver’s particulars, managing appeals from Members of Parliament, order basic necessities such as stationaries for the department. You will also assists to conduct various screenings for investigations and ensure all traffic accident reports are properly filed and maintained for easy retrieval.
What we are looking for
We are looking for dynamic individuals who can provide effective and efficient service to the public. You will be trained to process online applications for police documents from Legal Firms, Insurance Companies, Motor Workshops and members of the general public using relevant police system and at the same time, adhering to police legislations and policies. REQUIREMENTS • Good command of spoken and written English. • Have good working knowledge of police systems and the processes involved in handling violation reports, investigation papers, summons, appeal and other relevant systems. • Good working knowledge of computer applications such as MS-Words, Excel and Outlook. • Basic knowledge of the Road Traffic Act. • Basic knowledge on enforcement proceedings and policies. • Able to work under pressure. • Meticulous and independent worker who is able to carry out your responsibilities with minimum supervision; • Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills; • Good time management and be able to meet tight deadlines; To be part of our team, please submit an online application via www.careers.gov.sg.
