Sector Real Estate / Property Management The selected candidate would have the opportunity to contribute to the company's rapid pan-India expansion strategy. During this time successful candidates may be assigned to one or more strategies being undertaken by the group in India. You will work with small teams with direct interaction with senior management and in a flat work environment, with a lot of exposure and responsibility. Depending on the location and strategy assigned, and the team(s) you will be supporting, your responsibilities could include: Real Estate investment research and analysis Public equity investment research and analysis Retail & entertainment industry investment research and analysis Hospitality industry investment research and analysis Specific sector research / analysis for opportunistic investments Portfolio/Asset management support for real estate investments, retail and hospitality investments, or other private investments This role presents an excellent opportunity to achieve personal success while being part of a closely-knit cross-geographical team and contribute directly to the Company's growth. Responsibilities Business / Sector Research and Analysis Conduct thorough research of allocated markets and sectors Prepare and share periodic updates with relevant teams highlighting critical insights Help identify market dislocation, emerging trends, with the objective of identifying investment themes/opportunities Prepare high quality review materials (memos, briefs, notes, etc.) Investment Research and Analysis Supporting the relevant team to conduct market, financial, technical and legal analysis for specific investments being evaluated Assist in preparation of detailed financial models, investment notes and management memos Portfolio Management Develop a deep understanding of the sector, market, competition and the portfolio asset or company's positioning in that context Support asset management team in monitoring, reviewing, reporting business/asset performance Work with / follow up with portfolio companies on tasks related to value creation, and monetization, etc. Qualification Bachelor's degree in real estate, urban planning or economics (or a similar relevant qualification) Expected Skill Sets Soft Skills: Proactive attitude and high level of curiosity Self-starter with a can-do attitude Attention to detail and ability to take ownership of tasks/ processes assigned Maturity and ability to work in high pressure environment with senior members of the group Experience working with junior- and senior-level stakeholders, and collaborating across functions Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of India's real estate industry from a strategic business development perspective Basic understanding of real estate principles Good financial modelling, quantitative skills and understanding of investment / valuation principles Good analytical skills Good written and verbal communication skills Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience working with large data sets and data visualization tools (E.g., Tableau, Power BI etc.) Others: International exposure either through education or work experience preferable Experience 1 - 2 years' relevant experience, ideally with prior experience in a real estate investment role Candidates from consulting / banking backgrounds are also welcome to apply Good to Have: Previous research internships involving market analysis and report writing Knowledge of financial analysis / financial modeling Advanced course work in Economics, Math, Information Technology, Applied Statistics, Business or Accounting Experience with data management tools / software like tableau Exposure to Bloomberg terminal Benefits Competitive fixed compensation package Discretionary performance bonus Role Start Timeline Immediate
