Job Description


Yale-NUS College is a highly selective liberal arts and science college in Singapore. Co-founded by Yale University and the National University of Singapore, the College is committed to excellence in research and teaching within a full residential programme that integrates living and learning. Its curriculum educates students in Asian and Western intellectual traditions as well as current scientific thought.The College is seeking to hire a Research Assistant in algebraic combinatorics. Preferred fields of specialisation are group theory, graph theory and combinatorics.This is a 10-month contract role, starting in July/August 2024.The successful candidate is expected to begin duties in July/August 2024.Requirements

  • Bachelor or a fresh Master\'s graduate in Mathematics from a regionally or internationally accredited institution.
  • Familiar with Linear Algebra, Graph Theory, Discrete Mathematics, Abstract Algebra.
  • Knowledge with GAP/Magma/SageMath would be a plus.
  • Good to have programming skills.
  • Discuss existing research problems and discover new results.
  • Assist in preparing journal papers for submission.\xe2\x80\x8b\xe2\x80\x8b
