The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant position, in the Healthy Longevity Translational Research Programme, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, with a working appointment at the National University Health System (NUHS) Centre for Healthy Longevity. Appointments will be on a 2-year contract in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.
Purpose of the post
The Centre for Healthy Longevity (CHL), the aging research division of the National University Health System (NUHS), aims to be a leading institute for geroscience research and translation globally, renowned for translating research into practice to improve healthspan.
The Research Assistant will play a key role in supporting the mission of CHL, where the majority of the tasks will involve meeting the research operational needs of the various studies. The incumbent will establish research protocols, administer data collection for human research studies and support the recruitment /outreach efforts of the centre. Data collected from participants will include molecular, cellular, as well as physiological parameters. It is thus expected that the incumbent will have some experience in these areas. In addition, the incumbent will be expected to perform data entry, cross-checking and cleaning on a routine basis. Finally, there will be numerous opportunities for the incumbent to be involved in manuscript writing and project presentations.
