The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 18-month contract at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice,
Office of Education Research .
Project Title:
Engaging Students as Feedback Partners in Singapore Schools: An Exploratory Study
Project Introduction:
This project explores the feasibility of implementing feedback partnerships in the school context by examining teachers and students perceptions of and readiness for feedback partnerships and the factors influencing partnership development in Singapore secondary schools.
Requirements

• A basic degree with good honours / A masters degree from a reputable university with at least 2 years of relevant experience in education research
• Experience in conducting field work in secondary schools
• Experience in developing survey tools and analysing quantitative data
• Experience in conducting interviews and analysing qualitative data
• Good project management skills
• Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
• Good team player
• Proactive and able to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Recruit participants from secondary schools
• Perform data collection and analysis for the project team
• Facilitate project management
• Provide support for Principal Investigator in the preparation of research reports, publications and other project deliverables
• Perform project-related administrative work (e.g. collecting consent forms, processing claim forms, etc.)
• Perform other duties assigned by Principal Investigator and Co-investigators
