The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 24-month contract at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice, .

Project Title: Research Assistants for central roles in CRPP

Project Introduction: The Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice (CRPP) was established in 2002 as a key research centre of the Office of Education Research, NIE. Its team of researchers conducts rigorous and relevant multi-disciplinary research and development that inform pedagogy and practice in Singapore and internationally. The cenre has three programme areas and multiple projects. The personin this positon will be central to support two different areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in education, Sociology or a relevant field from a reputable University
• Prior experience working in schools or an education setting
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience building rapport with different stakeholders
• Good organizational skills and interpersonal skills
• Good time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Event organization and management skills preferred
• Be a good team player
• Social media skills an asset

Responsibilities

• Work with the research team to develop videos and dissemination materials for use
• Prepare surveys and interviews
• Organize meetings and note-taking
• Organize research data, and maintain records
• Work with research scientists on planning proposals
• Work on general administrative tasks for the Centre
• Event planning like conferences, symposia, workshops, and townhalls
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Reporting Officer
