Lee Kong Chian (LKC) School of Medicine is seeking to hire a Research Assistant for Associate Professor Nagaendran Kandiah\'s lab. The LKC Dementia Research Centre (Singapore) is a multidisciplinary institute that aims to carry out cutting-edge high impact clinical neuroscience, cognitive and neuroimaging research in characterizing the underpinnings of dementia in Singapore. The centre has a multidisciplinary team which includes team members from across the clinical neuroscience, neurology, neuroimaging and analytics fields. The centre conducts impactful research with the primary focus on the diagnosis and management of mild cognitive impairment and dementia.

The Research Assistant will effectively contribute towards multi-faceted projects, run under a multi-institutional dementia program at the new Dementia Research Centre, in the LKC School of Medicine at the Nanyang Technological University as part of its new Science of Learning initiative. They will be part of the dynamic neuroscience research environment of Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with participant recruitment, scheduling, and coordination.
• IRB management.
• Data collection; including neuroimaging assessment (magnetic resonance imaging and functional-near infrared spectroscopy, cognitive and functional assessments, coordination of blood draws.
• Data entry and assistance with data analysis.
• Assistance with systematic review (literature search, screening, report writing) on a topic relevant to the project.
• Other project administrative tasks as assigned by the PI.

Key Decisions/Dimensions:

• Contribute to key decisions regarding their research project, which involves and is not limited to; research proposals, design, data cleaning and management, research methodologies and analyses.
• Contribute to key recruitment and administrative decisions.
• Report directly to the Director of the Dementia Research Centre (Singapore) A/Prof. Nagaendran Kandiah.

Key Competencies and Requirements:

• Academic qualification: Minimum bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in cognitive neuroscience, psychology, medicine, or relevant field.
• Research/work experience: Prior research experience as a Research Assistant or Student Research Assistant in cognitive neuroscience.
• Desirable skills, interests, and attributes:
• Excellent communication skills.
• Can work independently and part of a team.
• Good self-management, responsible, solution oriented.
• Experience with systematic literature reviews
• Some experience with participant recruitment and data collection
• Experience administering cognitive assessments and/or functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) is advantageous.
