Job Description

SJ NTU Corporate Lab is looking for experienced individuals with a strong background in mechanical engineering and process system engineering. The hired researcher will join an interdisciplinary team of researchers and participate in projects to develop innovative solutions for improved energy efficiency and emission reduction. These solutions include improving the performance of existing emission reduction technologies, or ab initio development of novel technologies. The aim of these solutions is to maximise the utilisation of various forms of energy carried by the process streams in an industrial system. Promising solutions developed will be experimentally validated, demonstrated, and potentially commercialised at the SJ-NTU Corporate Lab.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Work closely with colleagues to ensure the requirements of the research project are met
• 
  Conduct Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) studies for thermal energy storage (TES) facilities and other related topics
• 
  Use algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to facilitate design and optimization of energy components and systems
• 
  Use data science techniques to process experimental results
• 
  Write scientific papers/technology disclosures/reports and other work-related documents
• 
  Assist in experimental works and other required works by the PI

Job Requirements:

• 
  Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mechanical Engineering in Chemical Engineering from a prestigious university
• 
  At least 1 year of research experience with Ansys CFX/Fluent, Open Foam or COMSOL Multiphysics in conducting CFD research
• 
  At least 1 year of research experience with python, MATLAB, or C++ in conducting CFD research
• 
  Experience in energy system design is a must
• 
  Experience in thermal energy storage, hydrogen, and supercritical CO2 energy systems is preferable
