The Asian Journal of Comparative Law (AsJCL) is the leading forum for research and discussion of the law and legal systems of Asia. It embraces work that is theoretical, empirical, socio-legal, doctrinal or comparative that relates to one or more Asian legal systems, as well as work that compares one or more Asian legal systems with non-Asian systems. RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Editors-in-Chief, the Research Associate will serve as the Managing Editor of the AsJCL (and operate with the working title of \xe2\x80\x9cManaging Editor\xe2\x80\x9d) and will be involved in the overall management of the production of the Journal, including correspondence with authors, liaising with Cambridge University Press on production matters, making initial editorial judgments about submissions to the Journal, engaging in, as well as overseeing, copy editing (including managing other copy editors), managing the Journal\'s social media presence, compiling reports of the Journal\'s activities, and interfacing with the Journal\'s Subject and Book Review Editors, and all other relevant duties as requested by the Editors-in-Chief.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess a good LLB, and preferably Master\'s degree (LLM or MA), be well organized and meticulous. The candidate should have a strong interest in legal scholarship and legal publishing, especially about Asia. Prior publishing experience (as an author or editor) would be an asset, though not necessarily required.
