Job Description

A Research Associate position is available in the Centre for Information Sciences and Systems, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

:

The Research Associate will work on a project to research and develop visual sensing, detection and analytics for monitoring and understanding the operation and situation awareness in places such as workplace / lab premises. The roles of this position include:

Development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to perform person and object detection, classification, and analysis

System integration of the developed algorithms

Handling project budget

Managing equipment

Mentoring students

Report preparation

Job Requirements:

Master in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related field from reputable universities

Minimum 1-year research experience in related area

Knowledge and experience in computer vision, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition

Knowledge in imaging and computing device and equipment

Proficiency in programming languages such as C and Python

Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch and Tensorflow

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written English

Prior publication experience is preferred

Ability to work independently and as a team
