Research Associate (mechanics/mechanical Engineering)
Job Description
The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Associate.
Key Responsibilities:
Play an essential role in conceptualization and design of the experiments;
Select the materials systems and various methods to be used for enhancing adhesion strengths and easy switchability;
Develop theoretical models harnessing the fracture regimes transition for smart adhesion;
Explore potential applications such as adhesive skins for robotic hands;
Collaborate with PhD students and visiting students working on the project;
Publish research results in internationally reputable journals;
Help supervise undergraduate FYP students and URECA students.
Job Requirements:
Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering
Rich experience in experimentation and modeling of materials behavior
Good communication and writing skills in English
Good interpersonal skills
Strong responsibility for research work
Publication track record is an advantage
