We are looking for a research associate with experience in peptide synthesis and bioconjugation. The candidate will primarily oversee designing and chemically synthesizing therapeutic peptides/proteins together with the goal of improving their potency, safety, and pharmacokinetics. Responsibilities:

• Design, synthesize and characterize peptides and proteins using chemical synthesis, bioconjugation, purification, and biophysical experiments
• Communicate data and reports on project status with collaborators and grant agencies
• Work successfully to produce publishable outputs and assist in writing manuscripts and grant reports
• Review literature and patents to retrieve key scientific information needed for research project
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and to drive shared objectives
• Handling chemical safety and regulation issues, and equipment maintenance
• Establish and strengthen internal and external professional connections

Qualifications

• Hold a Master\'s degree in organic chemistry, or related field with at least 3 years\' laboratory experience in peptide synthesis
• Skilled in peptide synthesis techniques, chemical ligation, cyclization strategies, and bioconjugation
• Skilled in various chromatographic techniques such as RP-HPLC, SEC, IEX, and HIC
• Skilled in analytical characterization of synthesized peptides and proteins
• Experience in mass spectrometry and molecular modelling is a plus
• Capable of meeting several deadlines across multiple projects while demonstrating a high level of efficiency
• Independent, with strong emphasis on teamwork
• Possess strong interpersonal skills, is meticulous, organized, proactive and have an investigative nature
• Good written and communication skills
