Key Job Purpose NTU's Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute is looking for excellent candidates to support the research for the project titled: Adsorptive Carbon Capture Using Framework Materials . The suitable candidate will become a part of a vibrant team addressing Singapore's challenges to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to promote Singapore as a circular economy smart city hub. Job Responsibilities Coordinate the project execution and communicate among the collaborating parties Work synergistically with PI and Co-I in experimental designs, conducting experiments, troubleshooting and data analysis Provide expertise on gasification and incineration processes (of wastes), and flue gas treatment Support the designing, building, and modifying CO2 capture pilot-scale by-pass setup at a demonstration scale research facility Design and carrying out sampling procedures for flue gas, particulate matter, and other impurities in flue gas in the pilot-scale setup Produce comprehensive and statistical understanding of CO2 capture from flue gas using framework materials Analyzing the results, summarise the findings in this project and produce the progress reports, final report, and scientific recommendations Job Requirements Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Inorganic Chemistry, or a relevant field Experience in thermochemical conversion or thermal treatment processes (incineration/gasification/other similar processes) is required Extensive knowledge in flue gas treatment and CO2 capture technologies is desired Good record of peer-reviewed papers is advantageous Scientific articles, proposals and reports writing skill is required Good interpersonal, English writing and communication skills Excellent teamwork awareness Productive, hard-working and dedicate to the completion of any task assigned We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
