The School of Biological Sciences (SBS) is a school of the College of Science. It was established in 2002 with the mission to make a strong contribution to biological and biomedical sciences. Research areas at SBS include infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases and telomere biology and genome function. Since then, many talented individuals from around the world and Singapore have joined SBS as scientific leaders, and researchers.
A Research Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Associate Professor Miao Yansong, School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The project aims to apply structural-based knowledge to protein engineering to understand protein physical-chemical properties, biochemical functions, and phase separation.
Responsibilities:
Protein purification and protein engineering
Structural biology
Biochemical and biophysical characterization
High end fluorescent imaging and imaging analysis
Requirements:
PhD in Plant Biology, biochemistry, or relevant field
Experience in protein biochemistry or advanced fluorescence imaging
Knowledgeable in plant immunity or broad plant signal transduction
Knowledge in microbe-host interaction and molecular-based cell immune signaling background is a plus
