Research Fellow Bioinformatician (cancer Science Institute)

Singapore, Singapore

Job Description

The mission of Cancer Science Institute (National University of Singapore) is to better understand the causes of human cancer across Asia, and thereby improve its detection, treatment, and prevention. Our outstanding researchers and exceptional facilities create an energetic environment for ground-breaking science and world-class training.

The position of Postdoctoral Fellow with an emphasis on computational cancer genomics is available immediately and will be attached to Dr Jason PITT\'s laboratory. This position is for 2 to 3 years with the possibility of extension. More information about his research is available at

The selected candidate will lead a newly funded project in exploring how germline genetics and cell-of-origin contribute to genomic instability (GI) in cancer and build upon our recently developed computational framework to derive dozens of GI scores and copy number signatures from tens of thousands of malignant samples. Using a multi-omic approach, these scores will be associated with clinical, genomic, and cell-type specific features. Candidate genes/variants will be investigated experimentally using CRISPR-mediated isogenic cell lines.
