We are looking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Biomedical Ethics (CBmE), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS).
The Centre for Biomedical Ethics (CBmE) was established in September 2006 in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine through a generous gift by the Chen Su Lan Trust. CBmE, directed by Prof Julian Savulescu, is a thriving centre for learning, teaching and research relating to ethical and legal aspects of healthcare and the biomedical sciences. We are responsible for the development and delivery of the Health Ethics, Law and Professionalism programme through all five years of the undergraduate medical curriculum in addition to offering postgraduate and continuing professional education courses in bioethics. The appointed Research Fellow will contribute to the project \xe2\x80\x9cCare at home: Addressing new ethical challenges in contemporary ageing societies\xe2\x80\x9d. Associate Professor Michael Dunn is the Principal Investigator (PI) of the grant. Health policy changes in Singapore are placing increasing emphasis on the community and the home as the primary location for health and care services to be delivered, particularly for older adults and those with chronic illnesses. This project will seek to identify and analyse existing and newly emerging ethical challenges in delivering and co-ordinating care in these settings.
